This world is a strange place.
Always looking to be free,
And constantly falling back into expectations.
Where’s the balance between looking after yourself and looking after others?
This world,
all the anger,
all the grief,
all the assumptions…..
And here I sit,
Comfortably at home, with a family of four, as the world passes by.
Proud of my culture just as any other.
But I know there’s something more waiting,
I know that this is not where I’m meant to stay.
And yet, here I am.
